I love fall, but when it arrives I always feel an urgency — I want our family to get out and have as many fall experiences as we can before fall turns to winter and we’ve missed our chance. I want lots of time outside, fall treats, hayrides, pumpkins, and everything else that comes with the autumn season.
This Saturday, October 10th, Trader’s Point Creamery’s 9th annual Oktoberfest will allow us to have some of our favorite fall experiences, with a German flair. The event features lots of great family fun, including:
- A Petting Zoo
- A Pumpkin Patch
- Face Painting
- Games and Crafts
There’s also lots of great stuff for grown-ups, like:
- A German Biergarten
- Local Beer from Sun King Brewery
- A Wine-Tasting Tent
- A Whole Hog Roast with Gunthorp Farm (see a full menu for the day here)
There will also be live music from Polka Boy, African Drum Troupe, and Airstream Betty.
While you’re having fun, you’ll be helping the farm raise money for the Traders Point Rural Historic District, a nonprofit organization that protects green space around Eagle Creek for the enjoyment of generations to come.
My favorite part of this event is that it’s an affordable day of fun for the whole family, and it goes on all day, making it easy to fit into any schedule. Here are all the details:
- Oktoberfest is Saturday, October 10th from 12 to 7 p.m.
- Tickets are $10, $8 in advance, children 10 and under free.
- Purchase advance tickets here or at the Farm Store.
Can’t wait to see you there!
Thanks Trader’s Point Creamery for providing us with tickets to this awesome event. All opinions and love of fall are my own.
