Well, it’s March 15th and I am just now getting around to posting my intentions. That should tell you how my March is going! I have been very busy, which is a blessing, but also occasionally keeps me away from this blog. That’s one of the things I’m working on, as you’ll see in my goals.
Let’s see how I did last month:
Donate My Wedding Dress – This was harder than I thought. Not for emotional reasons, but because the organization I am working with is on the other side of town from us, and has limited hours. Throw in some bad weather and crazy schedules for the kids, and it hasn’t happened yet. I have a firm plan to drop it off this coming week.
10k Steps a Day, 5 Days a Week – I didn’t do this one perfectly, but I definitely improved my activity level, so I am calling it a win.
Drink Four Big Cups of Water a Day – Success!
Go to Bed With the Sink Empty – You guys. I tried. But our dishwasher isn’t working well. I mean, it runs, but the majority of the dishes are not clean at the end of the cycle. We’ve tried all kinds of things with little result. Then we had an issue that left us without hot water for a few days. Handwashing dishes in cold water is no bueno. I’m putting this back on the schedule for April.

Go Grain- and Sugar-Free for the Month
The sad truth is that I feel better without gluten in my diet. I miss you, bread! But I am dropping pounds and gaining energy, so I think it’s worth it.
Relaunch It’s Fundamental
I started a children’s book blog back in 2012, but it got pushed to the back burner because I was still working full-time then. I decided to revive it this year because I love reading, writing about, and recommending children’s books. A lot of my “free time” has been devoted to creating content and coming up with post ideas. Nerdy, but I am loving it!
Set Firm Work Hours
Trying to write and do client work in my home is pointless. I can take care of small things, but my children seem to sense when I am trying to get anything of importance done. I swear they can hear a Word document open, and it triggers a sudden need for juice/crackers/cuddles/bathroom help. So I am setting aside specific work times when I leave the house and get the bulk of my projects done.
Read Two Books
I am really struggling to make time for reading this month, but I know I am a better writer and much more interesting person when I actively read. If I can finish two of the books I’ve started recently, I’ll be happy.
My work level has jumped this month, which is great, but there are times when I start freaking out about all there is to be done. I am doing my best to balance it all. Sometimes just getting through is enough of an accomplishment.
