Meet Gerold.

 Lunch Box Buddies

Gerold is our Lunchbox Buddy, created especially for our oldest son by artist Jim Adorney. He’s a little funny looking, but we think he’s pretty awesome.

What’s a Lunchbox Buddy?

Lunchbox Buddies are the creation of artist and dad Jim Adorney. Jim loved to pack silly cartoon notes in his daughters’ lunches, just to let them know he was thinking of them. The notes were a hit with the girls…and with their friends, too. And so, Lunchbox Buddies were born!

We had the chance to meet Jim at Mass Ave Toys, and he is warm, friendly, and a super-talented artist. He created Gerold up there for my oldest based on a design my son chose, and I was blown away by Jim’s talent. My boys got a kick out of the super silly “Goofballs” designs.

We received two packs of Lunchbox Buddies to try out at home. Since my kids stay home with me, we decided to get a little creative with our buddies. We colored them, and left some for Daddy to find at work.

I also hid a few for the boys to find in their books and toys.

My kids love the silly characters on each Lunchbox Buddies cards, and they can’t wait to see the new Superheroes line. I love that the cards are printed on quality paper, and that each design in a pack is different. You’re not just sending the same four notes over and over again; you’re sending a unique character to your child each day. And at only $3.99 a pack, I love the price. Makes a great stocking stuffer! There are 20 notes in a pack, so you’ve got a month’s worth of lunches covered.
