You know how September gets here and everyone starts losing their minds over pumpkin-flavored everything?

Yeah, I am one of those people.

I anxiously await what I call “pumpkin spice latte” season every year. It keeps this warm-weather loving girl positive as cold weather moves in; yes, there’s frost all over my car, but once I scrape it off I can go get a pumpkin muffin! And a pumpkin doughnut! And…well, you get the idea.

5 great pumpkin recipes

This week, I want to celebrate pumpkin season by sharing five delicious pumpkin recipes with you. These delicious treats are a great addition to your fall festivities, and they will help you get in the autumn experience. I plan on making it a pumpkin weekend!

5 Great Pumpkin Recipes

Pumpkin Bread Made With Pumpkin Beer

I made this last weekend and it is SO GOOD. Seriously, it’s moist and yummy and has just the right amount of sweetness. Everyone in the family loved this bread, and it’s pretty hard to find agreement over food in our house.

Pumpkin Butter Cake

I love pumpkin. I love butter. And I love cake. So this one is kind of a no brainer. Plus, CREAM CHEESE. Looking at the ingredient list for this cake was enough to make me drool. I can’t wait to try this one – the recipe looks as easy as it does delicious.

Pumpkin Spice Shortbread Cookies

Shortbread cookies are my favorite type of cookie, and when you mix in pumpkin spice, well…that’s just awesome. These would be great to make and take to a party. Or you know, you could hide them from your family and eat them all yourself. Whatever.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Cream Cheese Icing

Um, wow. These look amazing – and the recipe allows for a sugar substitute if you want to save on calories. These would be a great treat for Thanksgiving day breakfast.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Another great breakfast choice. These look so yummy. My youngest LOVES muffins, so I may try these for his upcoming birthday.

Happy pumpkin-time!
