This post is sponsored by Meijer. All opinions and love of argyle socks are my own.
Since becoming a work-at-home mom, my fashion route has become, well…lax. To say the least. When I get ready to go somewhere fun, I open my closet and see a sea of collared polo shits that I was required to wear at my former job. Ugh. I’m tired of those clothes, and I am ready for an upgrade. But I am also on a serious budget. So where can I go to get something stylish for cheap?
Would you believe me if I said Meijer? No, really! It’s not just a place to buy your groceries. Meijer recently asked me to build a fall look from their collection, and I was happy to oblige. I snuck out of the house after the kids were in bed and took some time to explore Meijer’s fashion offerings.
I love stripes, sweaters, and pink, so this pink and grey striped sweater was an easy choice for me. It looks great with my favorite jeans, and at only $16 I absolutely could not pass it up.
I wanted a great pair of shoes to go with this adorable sweater, and Meijer didn’t let me down. I’ve been wearing these grey flats ($20) with everything, and the argyle socks I found at Meijer for only $3 were a fun and whimsical touch.
I still needed the perfect finishing touch for my new outfit, so I stopped by the jewelry section. I am very picky about jewelry, but when I found this necklace and earring set I fell in love. I fell harder when I realized that the set was on CLEARANCE for only $10! I may have jumped up and down a little.
So let’s recap:
- $16 Sweater
- $20 Flats
- $3 Socks
- $10 Necklace/Earrings
That equals one adorable look for under $50. And since I can rotate each piece to wear with other things, I feel like I am coming out ahead. Thanks, Meijer!
