Dig IN - A Taste of Indiana

This post is sponsored by Indiana’s Family of Farmers.

I mentioned earlier this week that I love August in Indianapolis, and the Indiana State Fair is one of the reasons why. But there’s another great local event that makes August delicious, and that’s Dig IN, A Taste of Indiana.

DigIN brings the best Indiana chefs and the best locally grown ingredients together to make culinary magic. This year over 35 of Indiana’s best chefs will be cooking up deliciousness using locally grown and sourced products. You can also sample some local wines and beers if that’s your thing, and enjoy music from local bands. Speakers will be on hand to talk about the farm-to-table process and present cooking demonstrations. And can I mention the food again? Because the food is amazing.

Last year was my first year at DigIN, and I have to say I was incredibly impressed. Everything I tried was great, but my favorite was a gourmet “walking taco” from Goose the Market. This year, I am looking forward to trying the Grilled Duck Breast with Poached Peach Salad from Brad Gates Catering and the Chicken Lettuce Wraps from Northside Social. I’m also excited to see that some of my favorite food trucks will be there as well.  But the best part is that at DigIN, you get to try everything. Plus you get to enjoy the beauty of downtown Indianapolis while you dine on the best gourmet food our city has to offer. Could you really ask for much more?

DigIN will be descending on downtown Indianapolis Sunday, August 25th, from noon to 5:00 p.m. at White River State Park. Tickets are $40 for General Admission, $60 for Early Admission, and $90 for VIP (update – VIP tickets are sold out). Children’s tickets are $10, and kids under 4 are free. VIP ticketholders will have their own designated entrance to DigIN, as well as access to the VIP tent, which will allow them to interact with local chefs and get a special behind the scenes look. DigIN SOLD OUT last year, so you want to make sure you get your tickets as soon as possible!

Indiana’s Family of Farmers is a sponsor of DigIN, and they work hard to bring together local farmers and local chefs for an awesome culinary experience. At each station, you’ll be able to find out not only what you’re eating, but which Indiana farm provided the fresh, local ingredients. IFOF is so excited about this event, they’ve graciously provided me with TWO general admission tickets to give away to one lucky reader! Just complete the Rafflecopter form below to enter. This is a SUPER FAST giveaway that will end Wednesday, August 14th at 11:59 p.m. Best of luck to you!
