My kids, especially my oldest son, are kind of obsessed with bounce houses. We’ve done a bounce house birthday party, we’ve stopped at festivals and fundraisers just because they have a bounce house, and we’ve had to explain to our three-year-old that we can’t just crash neighboring birthday parties because they have a bounce house in the yard. These kids love to bounce! And this mom LOVES that they love to bounce, because it wears them out and keeps them occupied for awhile, so I can get some work done.

BounceU Indianapolis/FishersWe were recently invited to check out the new and improved BounceU of Indianapolis/Fishers, and of course I “jumped” (ha!) at the chance. We had never been to BounceU before, so I was excited to see what they had available to us. I knew my kids would have fun, because they love to bounce, but there were several things about BounceU that really made it stand out from other bounce locations we’ve visited.

BounceU has two different bounce rooms, and during a bounce session you move back and forth between the rooms. The first room had a giant slide, a grab-the-flag game, a boxing ring complete with giant boxing gloves, and a ball toss game. My oldest was a little nervous at first, but he eventually worked up the nerve to go down the giant slide, and then we couldn’t get him off! He also really loved going into the boxing ring and “beating up” his daddy with the giant boxing gloves. My youngest is a little more cautious, so the ball toss game was perfect for him. We had a blast knocking down plastic balls suspended by air.

The second bounce room was just as much fun as the first – the cosmic bounce room! This room featured upbeat music and a fun blacklight experience with pulsing lights (the staff will happily turn off this feature if it’s too much for your child). This room featured an obstacle course, another big slide, a jousting/basketball area, and a tee-ball station, which was a big hit with my boys. They loved getting to swing at the air-suspended plastic ball. The big slide in this room was a bit too hard for my preschoolers to get up by themselves, but everything else was completely appropriate for them with supervision. The BounceU staff members were really great about not just monitoring the area but also interacting with the kids. They were there to help my boys at every turn. I loved that BounceU encouraged us to bounce right along with our children. My husband and I definitely got a workout on our visit!

When it was time for us to go, I heard protests from both my boys, with the two-year-old firmly telling me, “I not weddy go!” My older son will be turning four in June, and he’s told us he definitely wants to have his party at BounceU. Manager Travis talked with us about the birthday party packages available, and I was really impressed. For about the same price that we paid at another bounce facility, we could get a private birthday party, where BounceU was entirely reserved for us and our guests. If you’ve ever tried to keep up with two preschoolers in a full bounce house, you will understand how valuable this is! The basic birthday package gets you private use of the rooms, the assistance of BounceU party pros, and a special gift for the birthday child. They also have add-ons if you want BounceU to take care of the food, cake, balloons, or treat bags.

BounceU Cosmic BounceWe visited BounceU for open bounce, but in addition to open bounce and parties they also do Parents’ Night Out, a fundraising night for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, family bounce nights, preschool play dates and more! You can check out their events calendar for a full schedule of activities. They also work with groups and hold a “Create and Bounce” summer camp, so there’s really something for everyone.
