If you asked my husband what my dream job would be, he would probably tell you one of the following things:

  • Professional Back-Up Singer
  • Jeremy Renner’s Personal Masseuse
  • Judge on Iron Chef America/Top Chef/Chopped/etc.
Yes, I love food. I’m not the best cook in the world, but I love to sample new and different cuisine. There’s nothing I won’t try at least once. Since I have two young boys and  I’m married to the World’s Pickiest Eater, I don’t get to flex my foodie muscles too often. However, very soon I will have a chance to do just that, right here in the great city of Indianapolis.
Dig IN - A Taste of IndianaThat’s right, you don’t have to go to New York or Paris for delicious gourmet cuisine. You’ll be able to sample delicious creations from over 30 local chefs at Dig IN – A Taste of Indianapolis.  Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 26th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and make sure you’re at Military Park in downtown Indy. For only $30 you will be able to taste all the deliciousness our city has to offer. You’ll find everything from Waygu Tongue and Cheek Tacos to Just Rennie’s Signature Cookies.
Not only are these dishes made by local chefs, they are also made with locally sourced ingredients. That means the food at Dig IN is made in Indiana, by Hoosier chefs, using Indiana ingredients. I’m certain that some of my friends at Indiana’s Family of Farmers helped produce the components of the delicious dishes being served at Dig IN this year. You can read more about how Indiana’s Family of Farmers is dedicated to providing Hoosiers with Indiana-grown food on the Dig IN blog.

The IFOF is so excited about being a part of Dig IN, they’ve generously provided me with TWO TICKETS to give away to one lucky Mom For Less reader. Just check out the list of dishes featured this year at Dig IN, and leave me a comment letting me know what  you’re most excited to try. Doing this will unlock some other fun entries. The giveaway ends August 16th at midnight, and winners will be chosen randomly and contacted by email. Best of luck to you!
