I am one of those people who, when I like something, I tend to be really passionate about it. I love my community, so I love being able to support local businesses. I love being a mom, so I am all for anything that is about helping moms, or making our lives easier. I love all of the creative ways that moms find to support themselves and their households, so I love promoting and patronizing mom-owned businesses.
That’s why I’m so excited about GetOutMom.com. GetOutMom.com is all of these things rolled into one. Indianapolis moms Cami Back and Stacie Gopsill started GetOutMom.com as a way to help moms by connecting those with a need to those who can help. The goal is to build mutually beneficial relationships that make everyone’s lives a little easier.
The concept is simple.  As a busy mom, I post that thing that I just don’t have time to do. Let’s take scrapbooking as an example. I would love to have a scrapbook of my boys’ baby years, but lack both the skill and the time to make that happen.  So I would post on GetOutMom.com that I would like to hire someone to scrapbook for me.
YOU however, are an amazing scrapbooker. You see my ad on GetOutMom.com about scrapbook help. You send me a message, we connect, and I hire you to make an amazing scrapbook for me. I love my scrapbook, so I leave you positive feedback on the site, which helps you build your business. Wasn’t that easy?
GetOutMom.com has pricing to fit every budget, and a generous ONE MONTH free trial. Some “Mom Entrepreneur” listing services I have looked at STARTED at around $125 for a basic membership. I took advantage of being the first in my zip code to sign up for GetOutMom.com, and saved 50% off my membership, which worked out to only $20 for one year. For just a couple of dollars a month, I can connect with other moms to hire and be hired. That’s a great deal!
I will admit I was skeptical at first. I posted an ad, not expecting much response at all. I had to change my tune when I started getting messages in my GetOutMom.com dashboard. There were people out there interested in hiring me!
In fact, it was through my GetOutMom.com post that I met Cami Back, one of the founders of GetOutMom.com. When I met Cami, I felt like I was meeting a kindred spirit. Cami is also passionate about helping moms achieve their goals. Her main objective is not to make millions of dollars, but to help moms connect. And let me tell you, these GetOutMom.com ladies have vision! They have plans for growth, and are always looking for ways to improve the site. They truly care about user feedback.
Head over to GetOutMom.com and sign up for the free trial. Peruse the ads and see where you fit in to the community. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what you find. (And don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Twitter!)
Full discloser: I will be working with the ladies of GetOutMom.com to help them get the word out about the great service they offer. However, all opinions offered in this post are 100% my own. The reason I wanted to work with these ladies was BECAUSE I have had such a positive experience with their site, and I truly believe in what they are doing. I was not compensated in any way for writing this post.
