Spring In2 Action

My closet is full of cute clothes. Super cute clothes. Super cute clothes…that I haven’t been able to wear in over two years. Not cool.

I’m a big advocate of getting rid of clutter, but for some reason I keep holding onto these clothes, hoping that one day I will fit into them. But, you know, not actually doing anything to lose weight.

It’s time for that to change. So when my good buddy Zelma was looking for a partner to do the Spring Into Action challenge from the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans, I knew it was the right thing to do. Zelma and I are the Mommy McFatties. I’m trying to lose baby weight; she’s trying to lose weight to have a baby. And we are currently McFatties (but not for long!).

Since we started last week, I am down 1.4 pounds! I’ve made some positive changes, namely cutting way back on my sugar intake (I miss you, soda). I’ve cooked at home and brought my lunch all week, which is somewhat miraculous. I’m using My Fitness Pal to track my calories, and it’s really helping to keep me from snacking on junk. Another layer of accountability to keep me on track.

My next step is upping my activity level. After an exhausting day of sitting at my desk, I like to come home and…sit in my recliner. Or sit on the floor with my son. You know, just so long as I’m sitting. Need to work on that one!

Starting weight: 156.4 lbs.

Current weight: 155.0 lbs.

Goal weight: 136.4 lbs.
