My toddler, like most every toddler, loves music. He loves to dance and sing, and he will often come up to me asking me to sing a favorite song with him, whether it’s “BC’s” (the ABCs) or “Bebid” (Only a Boy Named David). Every time we get in the car, he protests until I turn on “Wee Sing Bible Songs,” his current favorite.

When we got in the car yesterday and I put on the new Rattles CD, Rattle On, at first he was confused. He gave me a look that clearly said “This is not my Wee Sing CD!” But after a few minutes, he was bobbing his head along with the music as he looked at books in the back seat. By the time we got to song number 7, “R-A-T-T-L-E-S,” he was saying “more!” after every song. I think Rattle On! is going to be our new CD of choice in the car.

Mommy liked The Rattles, too! The songs are catchy and fun for kids, but they lack that “annoying” quality that can be found it so many children’s songs. The Rattles have a style that is similar to the Beatles, and they manage to sing about the topics that are important to kids (numbers, letters, rhymes, and friendship) without relying on repetitive or obnoxious refrains. Rattle On! is a CD that parents and kids can enjoy together.

But don’t just take my word for it. You can watch a music video for Rattle On here. You can also follow The Rattles on Twitter and visit their website, The Rattles are also on Facebook! Best of all, one lucky Mom for Less reader will win a copy of Rattle On!
